Responsibilities
  • Perform Cone Penetration Tests (CPT) offshore, adhering to stringent safety protocols and industry best practices.
  • Operate and maintain CPT equipment, ensuring peak performance and readiness for deployment.
  • Collaborate closely with geotechnical engineers and project managers to plan and execute efficient offshore CPT operations.
  • Record and interpret CPT data accurately, contributing to the preparation of comprehensive geotechnical reports.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to validate the accuracy and consistency of testing procedures and results.
  • Monitor weather conditions and coordinate effectively with the crew to ensure smooth offshore operations.
  • Uphold environmental standards and practices during CPT operations to mitigate potential impacts.
  • Actively participate in enhancing testing methods and optimizing equipment to improve operational efficiency.
  • Meet project timelines and deliver results within specified deadlines.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and adaptability to thrive in challenging offshore environments.
Experience

 

  • Previous experience as an Offshore CPT Operator or a similar role within the geotechnical or marine industry.
  • Proficiency in operating Cone Penetration Test (CPT) equipment and associated instrumentation.
  • Sound understanding of geotechnical principles and their practical application in offshore projects.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols for offshore operations.
  • Strong record-keeping and data management skills to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Physical fitness and adaptability to work in demanding offshore conditions, including adverse weather and extended shifts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions during testing scenarios.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with onshore and offshore personnel.
  • Unwavering commitment to safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
