Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of marine project plans, equipment, and procedures to assess risks.
  • Collaborate closely with project stakeholders, including clients, insurers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Develop detailed survey reports, providing professional recommendations and risk evaluations.
  • Verify that marine operations comply with industry standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Perform on-site inspections and surveys to assess the condition of vessels and equipment.
  • Certify the fitness-for-purpose of marine assets and operations before project commencements.
  • Advise and guide clients on risk mitigation strategies and safety enhancements.
  • Act as a key point of contact for technical inquiries and risk-related matters throughout projects.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, regulations, and emerging risk trends.
Experience
  • Significant experience as a Marine Warranty Surveyor or in a similar marine risk assessment role.
  • Strong knowledge of marine engineering, naval architecture, and offshore operations.
  • Familiarity with marine warranty surveys, project assessments, and compliance procedures.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to evaluate complex technical scenarios.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
  • A track record of successful risk evaluations and certifications for marine projects.
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in marine engineering, naval architecture, or related fields.
  • A detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy and quality in survey reports.
