Responsibilities

As an Offshore Electrical professional, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Installation and Maintenance: Execute electrical installations and conduct routine maintenance on offshore platforms, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and rectify electrical issues efficiently, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to minimize downtime and enhance operational reliability.
  • Equipment Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of electrical equipment, verifying adherence to UK, Scandinavian, and EU North Sea safety requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all electrical activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company protocols.
  • Emergency Response: Actively participate in emergency response activities, demonstrating a thorough understanding of safety procedures and protocols.
Experience

Ideal candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Electrical Certification: Recognised electrical certification preferably with a focus on offshore installations.
  • Offshore Experience: Proven experience working in offshore electrical roles, with a solid understanding of the unique challenges posed by North Sea environments.
  • Safety Compliance: Familiarity with and commitment to adhering to UK, Scandinavian, and EU North Sea safety requirements.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems in an offshore context.
  • Qualifications: Relevant electrical qualifications and certifications, such as NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
