- Compliance Assurance: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory standards and company policies, keeping abreast of changes and updates in the UK, Scandinavian, and EU North Sea safety requirements.
- Emergency Response Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans, conducting regular drills to ensure preparedness for any unforeseen incidents.
- HSE Training and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver effective HSE training programs. Foster open communication channels to encourage the reporting of safety concerns and incidents.
- Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into safety incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor HSE performance, providing regular reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Qualifications: A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Health, Safety, or Environmental Management.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with North Sea offshore safety regulations and guidelines, including those specific to the UK, Scandinavia, and the EU.
- Certifications: Desirable certifications include NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent.
- Experience: Proven experience in offshore HSE roles, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges posed by North Sea operations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to analyse complex situations, identify solutions, and implement effective risk mitigation measures.
