As an Offshore Online Surveyor, you will play a vital role in conducting live survey operations, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data acquisition in adherence to UK standards and regulations.


Responsibilities
  • Conduct real-time online surveys using state-of-the-art survey equipment and technology.
  • Monitor and validate data streams to ensure data accuracy during offshore operations.
  • Collaborate with offshore survey teams to provide real-time data insights and support decision-making.
  • Generate immediate updates, charts, and reports based on online survey data.
  • Perform quality control checks to identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors promptly.
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of offshore online survey operations.
  • Liaise with project managers and clients to deliver real-time survey information.
  • Maintain and calibrate survey equipment for optimal performance.
  • Comply with UK regulatory requirements and industry best practices for offshore surveying.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to online survey data collection.
Experience
  • Substantial experience as an Offshore Online Surveyor or in a similar role in the UK offshore industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of UK hydrographic survey standards and regulations, including IHO S-44 and UKOOA Guidelines.
  • Proficiency in operating and monitoring online survey equipment and technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct real-time data validation and quality control.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills for live data insights and updates.
  • Relevant qualifications in surveying or a related field recognised in the UK.
  • Familiarity with multibeam and single-beam sonar systems and online data processing software is advantageous.
  • Physical fitness and adaptability to work in the challenging offshore environment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities to liaise with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • A proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges during online surveys.
