Responsibilities

Operate and maintain sophisticated survey equipment for offshore data acquisition.
Conduct bathymetric, geophysical, and topographic surveys to chart the seabed and subsea structures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute offshore survey operations.
Process and analyse survey data using specialized software and techniques.
Generate detailed charts, maps, and reports based on survey data to support project needs.
Conduct quality control checks to verify the accuracy and reliability of survey data.
Assist in positioning and calibrating various survey sensors and systems.
Liaise with clients and stakeholders to address survey requirements and deliverables.
Ensure compliance with UK regulatory requirements and industry best practices for offshore surveys.
Participate in emergency response drills and promote a strong safety culture among the survey team.

Experience

Substantial experience as an Offshore Survey Engineer or in a similar role in the UK offshore industry.
Thorough knowledge of UK hydrographic survey standards and regulations, including IHO S-44 and UKOOA Guidelines.
Proficiency in operating and maintaining survey equipment, such as multibeam echosounders and side-scan sonars.
Demonstrated experience in conducting bathymetric and geophysical surveys in offshore environments.
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills for accurate survey data analysis.
Relevant qualifications in surveying, geomatics, or a related field recognised in the UK.
Experience with positioning and GNSS systems, such as RTK and DGPS, is advantageous.
Physical fitness and adaptability to work in the challenging offshore environment.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities to liaise with cross-functional teams and clients.
A proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges during survey operations.
