Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on offshore wind turbines.
  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tasks to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Replace and repair components such as blades, gearboxes, and generators as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with UK regulatory requirements and industry standards for wind turbine operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate maintenance and installation activities.
  • Utilize technical documentation and software to record work activities and turbine performance.
  • Monitor turbine performance data and contribute to performance improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to strict health, safety, and environmental guidelines during offshore work.
  • Assist in planning and executing offshore maintenance campaigns and projects.
  • Support emergency response procedures and participate in drills as required.
Experience
  • Substantial experience as an Offshore Wind Turbine Technician or in a similar role in the UK wind energy industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of UK regulations and standards for offshore wind turbine operations, including GWO and ISO 9001.
  • Proficiency in conducting maintenance and repairs on wind turbine systems and components.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in a dynamic offshore environment.
  • Relevant qualifications in wind turbine maintenance, electrical engineering, or a related field recognised in the UK.
  • Experience with hydraulic and mechanical systems used in wind turbines is advantageous.
  • Physical fitness and adaptability to work in the challenging offshore environment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities to liaise with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • A proactive approach to safety and a commitment to promoting a safety-first culture.
  • A willingness to work in rotational shifts and travel to offshore wind farms as required.
