As an ROV Pilot, you will play a vital role in operating ROV systems, conducting subsea inspections, and supporting diverse offshore projects.


Responsibilities
  • Operate ROV systems and control consoles to execute underwater missions with precision.
  • Perform subsea inspections, surveys, and maintenance tasks on offshore structures and equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and data acquisition goals.
  • Ensure proper ROV equipment setup, testing, and maintenance before and during operations.
  • Conduct pre-dive checks and safety briefings to ensure a safe and efficient subsea operation.
  • Monitor ROV performance and troubleshoot technical issues during missions.
  • Record data and video footage obtained during underwater operations for further analysis.
  • Comply with UK regulatory requirements and company policies for ROV operations.
  • Assist in the preparation and mobilization of ROV equipment for offshore campaigns.
  • Participate in onboard discussions and provide input for continuous improvement in ROV operations.
Experience
  • Substantial experience as an ROV Pilot or in a similar role in the UK offshore industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of UK regulations and standards for ROV operations, including IMCA guidelines.
  • Proficiency in operating ROV systems, tether management, and subsea tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in subsea inspections, surveys, or construction support.
  • Relevant qualifications in ROV piloting, electronics, or a related field recognised in the UK.
  • Experience with ROV video recording and data logging systems is advantageous.
  • Physical fitness and adaptability to work in the challenging offshore environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to liaise with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • A proactive approach to technical problem-solving and troubleshooting during ROV missions.
  • Familiarity with different types of ROVs and associated equipment used in offshore projects.
