As an ROV Technician, you will play a vital role in the maintenance, repair, and operation of ROV systems, supporting critical subsea missions and offshore projects.


Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of ROV systems and associated equipment.
  • Conduct pre and post-dive checks to ensure the proper functioning of ROV components.
  • Collaborate with ROV Pilots and engineers to prepare ROV systems for underwater operations.
  • Assist in the deployment and recovery of ROVs from offshore vessels or platforms.
  • Conduct equipment testing and calibration to maintain optimal performance levels.
  • Support ROV operations by monitoring video feeds, data streams, and telemetry.
  • Maintain detailed records of ROV maintenance, repairs, and spare parts inventory.
  • Participate in equipment mobilization and demobilization for offshore campaigns.
  • Adhere to UK regulatory requirements and safety protocols during ROV operations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of innovative ROV technologies.
Experience
  • Substantial experience as an ROV Technician or in a similar role in the UK offshore industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of UK regulations and standards for ROV operations, including IMCA guidelines.
  • Proficiency in ROV systems maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Demonstrated experience in assisting with ROV deployments and recoveries.
  • Relevant qualifications in electronics, mechatronics, or a related field recognised in the UK.
  • Experience with ROV video recording and data logging systems is advantageous.
  • Physical fitness and adaptability to work in the challenging offshore environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to liaise with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • A proactive approach to technical problem-solving and a keen eye for detail during ROV operations.
  • Familiarity with various types of ROVs and their subsea applications is desirable.
